ACT records 734 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 734 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 338 identified by PCR and 396 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 58 people in hospital, including 2 in intensive care and 1 being ventilated.

The double-dose vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 96.6 per cent, and 74.5 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have now received a booster.

Of ACT residents aged five to 11, 61.5 per cent have received two doses.

Since the pandemic began, 93,713 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT.

NSW recorded 11,166 new cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 7,918 new cases and one death.
