Sue Geh Circuit in Nicholls is “arguably the best street in the region”, but the five-bedroom architecturally designed home at number 50 still manages to stand out.

What separates the street from others is its position beside Gold Creek Country Club’s golf course, which Stone Real Estate sales agent Kris Hellier explains has made it highly sought after.

“A lot of builders built their homes on this street,” he says. “You drive from one end to the other and you just see the grandeur of the street’s blend of classic and ultra-modern homes.”

Kris says number 50 is elevated by its design credentials, having been architecturally designed by Peter Byfield & Associates and crafted by renowned builders Classic Constructions.

“It’s just a winning combination which makes this home an absolute standout,” Kris says, with this acknowledged by its shortlisting in the 2004 ACT design awards.

Inside the 350 sqm split-level home, the magic continues.

“It offers openness but also segregation for larger families,” Kris observes.

Guests who enter through the lower level’s wide double doors framed by celestial windows will find their attention immediately stolen by an elegant integrated water feature.

Immediately to the left is the cinema/rumpus room with a projector mount and large screen, built-in sound system and soundproofing. Plus a bar, down-lights for a pool table and a powder room off to the side.

“Mum and dad can watch a movie or they can entertain while having a couple of drinks, playing a game of pool or enjoying a family movie with the kids,” Kris explains.

Except for the three-car garage, the rest of the home is on an elevated upper level with views over the Gold Creek golf course and Brindabellas from almost every room.

“The highlight of our home is undoubtedly the stunning views from its elevated position. We have enjoyed the sweeping treetop vistas and the sense of tranquillity they bring,” the owner says.

The left side of the upper level is all about living and dining options, beginning with a formal lounge featuring dramatic high ceilings, full-length windows with Roman blinds and a neutral wool carpet opening onto an expansive terrace. Three more entertaining options line this side of the home, with dedicated dining, meals and family rooms leading towards the gardens.

Off the meals room is the chef’s kitchen with lots of bench and storage space, integrated Fisher & Paykel gas cooktop and rangehood, double oven with grill and double drawer dishwasher.

For summertime or warmer winter days, an alfresco zone overlooking mature gardens framed by tall, manicured hedges creates a peaceful and private entertaining haven at the rear of the home.

Meanwhile, on the right-hand side of the upper level, the master bedroom is the main attraction, with a huge walk-in robe, spa ensuite, dual basin stone vanity top and a private terrace.

Three more bedrooms, all with built-in robes, are conveniently clustered around one of the home’s two upstairs bathrooms and positioned alongside a large second terrace.

The home’s fifth bedroom, also with a built-in robe, is positioned adjacent to the master suite, making it ideally suited as an office space.

Guests and residents will also stay warm this winter no matter where they are in the home, with zoned, ducted reverse-cycle heating and cooling, underfloor heating to the kitchen and meals area and instantaneous hot water. Or you can take a five-minute drive for a meal at Casey Market Town, Gungahlin Town Centre or Gold Creek Village, or further down the road to Belconnen Mall.

“It is with a heavy heart that we part ways with this beloved haven,” the owner says.

“We hope its new owners will find as much happiness and fulfilment as we have experienced throughout the years.”
