Back in 2005 the UC Monitor ran a story on their academic Ron Miller and his plans to become a cider brewer out at Gundaroo.
Come 2011 and it’s on tap at The Phoenix and soon to be a few more places.
I can attest that it is both excellent, highly dangerous, and at the moment far and away the most popular tap at the Phoenix where it’s selling for $7.50 a pint at 7% alcohol.
It’s an earthy cider that goes down alarmingly easy.
In fact after a few of these I can vouch to the possibility of waking up to a cheesed off girlfriend happily unaware of what you were arguing about before falling asleep.
So enjoy, but treat it with some caution.
sooooo there’s a joke about this cider that a friend of mine likes to say.
“It does taste a little bit like urine, but really good urine. The sort you could drink a few pints of. Like Elvis’ urine or something.”

I beg your pardon?
It’s been on tap at Zierholz for at least the last 6 months, probably more like 12.
I’ve never been to the Phoenix but laughing cider and poetry slam is enough to get me out on a school night
It has been available at Gundaroo Pub for ages now. I love going out there for a few Jolly Millers on a Sunday Arvo.
Beware, it is really potent adn definately a Laughing Cider. I got so messed up on it after getting married out at Gundaroo.

A laughing cider I think. More research needed!
I saw an interview of some clod hopping Devon cider makers and they said that there were three types of cider.
So, is it a fighting cider, a laughing cider or a loving cider?
