About Chris Roe

Chris is Region's Wagga based Riverina Editor and has spent over 25 years in news.

He got an early start on his journalism career when a plane collided with his school bus in Bourke, NSW in 1990. His first instinct was to call the radio station and he's been reporting stories ever since!

Chris worked in radio across central NSW and Nth Qld and has spent the last 20 years in Sydney producing TV and digital news with NBC, Fox Sports, Sky News Australia and National Indigenous Television (SBS/NITV).

He's passionate about telling uniquely Australian stories and sneaking in as much local history and trivia as he can get away with.
