BOOYAH! 10k page views/day smashed!

johnboy 15 January 2007 17

Well today was the biggest day we’ve ever had, a stonking 11,917 page views from 2,403 visitors.

I’d like to thank you all for your compelling disputes!

Also while we’re here some credit to Velocity for being the ISP to our LibertyII server, Nerdvana who host the images and the podcasts, TransACT who do the connections, and Ubuntu and wordpress for giving us the free software which makes it all work.

And let’s not forget Kramer who lashes the raft together.

Agreed, NTP, but not always. Can’t recall the specifics, but I know I’ve commented on it on RA before.

Christian Kerr: The number one reason I will not subscribe to Crikey…

He usually has in the past – was the first news service to do so to my knowledge…

Seems the CT is finally getting around to doing the right thing. Let’s hope C. Kerr on Crikey will give proper attribution in the future, too.

Thanks Al, constructive comment is always welcomed. cant say we noticed any slowing in the server performance so perhaps it was just transact network traffic. We’ll keep an eye on it though.

I also see that “the unruly blog RiotACT” was finally acknowledged by the CT when lifting a pic of the pacman chalk grafitti today, so double whammy you!
BUT maybe that explains why the site has been getting soooo sloowwww to respond? Particularly yesterday. (Constructive feedback intended)

It’s probably a case of “many readers having a quiet time at home or at work, plus lots of interesting stouches going on”.

They thought you could buy baby bunnies on this site – and all they got was rabbit, rabbit, rabbit…

I’m afraid to think how many of those page views were mine. I really oughta get a life or something.

RiotACT, influencing the young and impressionable 🙂

hehe, I was in a bit of an odd mood last night posting that, Had just finished reading 99 comments on the Scouts story.

Clearly the word is getting out JB, I am slowly getting another person or two to the site, I suppose everyone helps.

Although, I am sure we can thank the smart ass comments by Thumper and others to our success.

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for….

(Insert multinational company name here) presents…

Well done guys!

Jazz Jazz 7:14 am 16 Jan 07

We are pretty excited bighead. It means that anything you wrote was probably seen or read by 2403 people yesterday. It also means people are staying longer to read more.
