Brendan finally gets nasty, and moderately amusing

A decent effort by Liberal Leader Brendan Smyth questions the spending priorities of our Brave (albeit often inert) Leader as Mr. Stanhope prepares to join the jetset.

Brendan ponders why the ACT needs an arboretum when it already has a world class (and well loved) Botanic Gardens, before going on to muse on the extravagant travel needs of our local government.

If this doesn’t take the cake for greatest ever ACT junkets, I don’t know what is. Simon Corbell will take six people in his touring party and the Chief Minister has yet to disclose how many he will take. Perhaps they can also check out some good ole U.S. visual art (graffiti) while they’re there

Hopefully when The Leader’s minions bestir themselves we can link to his media release explaining his travels.

seepi, It’s Long Jon Stanhope and Simon….Brendan is staying here to preserve some sense of sanity.

Maybe the big garden will provide a reason for solutions to water problems.

I’m sure the 260 odd ACT public servants who are about to lose their jobs due to budget cuts will enjoy wandering in the arboretum.
Not sure what they will gain from Brendan and Simon’s overseas adventure though….

One of the weakest reasons I’ve ever heard for a “Junket “.

Oh…and Brendan…don’t “ponder” too hard, lest you have a seizure !
