Each Thursday night The Canberra Musicians Club and Cardboard Charlie present a night of quality local original music, titled ‘Domus Adultus’ at a little hidey hole in Civic.
Formerly known mainly for its support of local and interstate jazz musicians, the Hippo Bar has embraced a broader church and so far the results have been very positive. It’s a charming and intimate little bar which, at capacity, feels pleasantly packed to the gills.
There are four acts each night ranging from solo singer songwriters to full bands. If you love your music live and original, played by people rather than computers, Domus Adultus is your Thursday night taken care of.
