A video showing how they park their cycles in land short Tokyo.
Could be useful when our cash strapped council starts charging for cycle parking.
What I remember about bikes and Tokyo is that frequently it was Road -> Parked Bikes (The bikes appear to have some lock mechanism on them and don’t require the loopy bike locks) -> bike path/footpath. There were lots of bikes parked around the place in Tokyo, I guess they want to clean that up somewhat?
I also remember seeing a couple of people texting while riding their bikes… I thought that was talented (if dangerous).
Woolworths in Canberra will join a national trial allowing customers to buy products in reusable containers, rather than single-use plastic packaging. Would you buy these products?
