Images of Canberra – Civic public art walking tour Episode 27, Cushion

By johnboy - 23 May 2006 1

On Saturday 08-APR-06 we did the Civic Public Art Walking Tour and lived to tell the tale.

And so, I present to you item # 27, Cushion, by Matthew Harding. It’s in Garema Place

Cushion - by Matthew Harding

The guide says:

One of the most popular works
in Garema Place is Cushion by Matthew
Harding. People can often be seen
lounging in the large stainless steel
cushion. A poem by Marion Halligan,
on scattered pages on the granite plinth
below, forms a tribute to Garema Place.

This is weird, a giant chrome cushion, but I kind of like it.
