I’ve long felt that the humorous use of David Hasselhoff’s image was a personality substitute on the part of the terminally boring. I also suspected the “Rock and Roll Gnomes” of Floriade 2005 (and indeed pretty much everything around that ever-expanding monstrousity of a flower festival) of filling a similar role. Now Jonathon Reynolds (aka JR) has sent in hideous proof of this confluence.
It pretty much encapsulates the whole business, lacking only a horde of fat bastards using a traffic light to hold up traffic on Commonwealth Avenue because they’re too damn feeble and lazy to walk 50 metres to the perfectly functional underpass.
