What a night, Luton Properties sure do know how to raise funds for a much needed cause. The Charity Ball held at the Hotel Realm saw the Olivia Lambert Foundation chosen as the beneficiary of the event. The funds raised will help to alleviate the financial burden of parents and carers whilst they pursue the best care and treatment for children stricken with aggressive forms of cancer.

The night was full of glitz and glamour with a ‘Monte Carlo’ black tie dress code. The guests of the ball were dressed up to the nines in elegant ball gowns and well tailored suites. I felt like an absolute princess, sparkling from head to toe wearing a couture gown by Rockstars and Royalty with hair and make-up perfected by Bomben & Kosa.

The program run on the night saw both a silent and live auction being held, where we saw generous people with big hearts and even bigger wallets bidding on very desirable items. The highly sought out auction item of the night was for return flights to Monte Carlo with Emirates from Flight Centre Australia, which went for $8,000 to one lucky bidder. Other items auctioned included tickets to see Justin Timberlake ($3250), Katy Perry ($3700) and Robbie William ($3500) live at separate concerts at the Allphones Arena in which you would be guests of the Audi Centre Canberra in their fully catered corporate box.

There was even a few celebrities among us with Sally Obemeder hosting the event, Peter Overton supporting the Olivia Lambert Foundation, Ricki-Lee performed her latest hits and Alex Perry enjoyed the night, after hosting the event last year, wearing the famous shades on top of his head!

How have we not mentioned the menu yet! Entree was served with the choice of either poached king prawns with spicy avocado tartar or confit duck and prosciutto balloting. Both choices where cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Main severed the choice of either roasted chicken breast with herb polenta and a sage jus or slow cooked herb crusted lamb rump with sweet potato roesti and lamb reduction jus. They finished off the night by serving a mini croquembouche which was absolutely to die for.

Last year the Luton Properties Charity Ball raised over $80,000 for the Canberra Hospital Foundation. This years event went one better and raised over $100,000! It was such well planned event for such a great cause.

Thanks for an amazing night! xo
