NSW dumping its bodies in Canberra

I just realised my previous post is quite mundane.

I like the zombie theory better

Kingston is tiny, way too small for Canberra/Queanbeyan – it is surprising that we should take extra bodies!

Until late last year Westmead looked after autopsies (and the subsequent storage of bodies for autopsies) for western Sydney and southern and western NSW, while Glebe Hospital looked after central Sydney and northern NSW.

But in Sept 2008 the NSW gov closed Westmead pathology dept which included a morgue + a pathologist when that one and only pathologist (Dr Langlois) moved to Adelaide.

Now Glebe is supposed to look after all of NSW – it is hardly surprising that they can’t!

We can’t handle the truth!!

The truth is far more mundane…..

Fortunately the overflow here didn’t happen sooner in the year – we would have created a whole new type of access block! The Kingston morgue was diverting all bodies to TCH earlier this year when they had an asbestos scare. Suffice to say, there’s no way we could accommodate much overflow from Glebe!

Ahh Canberra, you kill em we chill em…

This has been going on for years.

Last week it was 4 sent to Canberra, Just that 3 of them from wollongong.

BUT…. LAST YEAR THIS most of them headed north.

“THE Newcastle morgue was receiving corpses from across Sydney as morgues at Glebe and Westmead shut their doors, the NSW Opposition said” Oct 8 2008

Yes but what if it were a precursor to a zombie invasion?
