Pop Goes Canberra has taken their unique perspective and applied it to ice-skating at Phillip.

Despite this being called Friday night Video Disco, I was fully prepared for an onslaught of “So Fresh The Hits of Autumn 2005” or something in that style, you know, shit like Usher, 50 Cent, Linkin Park, Nitty, etc. And I was right to be prepared, for that is what was offered. Not a disco beat in sight for the first hour.

No not at all… well maybe – I just have distaste for those who cannot make something of themselves

You hate the poor?

Yeah maybe that is because Hellconnen Mall is even to big a dive for even the worstest of these kids – although I have actually seen dozens upon dozens of them….. Personally I think when you go to the deep south of the tuggeranong hippy-drome (bless my nanna) it gets even worse…. I accidentally caught the expresso bus there after work on friday – needless to say I had had a few beers…… but it was like travelling to queanbeyan or something…. disgraceful… any what was my point… can’t really remember

For some reason Belconnen mall doesn’t seem to attract hordes of grotty, loitering teenagers. Maybe they all go to Woden Plaza.

I have noticed that Belconnen Mall plays teenage repellant music (anything olde) outside the entrances.
