I didn’t know why they even changed to become a ramen restaurant. To cook a decent ramen, you need to learn from a pro and you need to do so for a long time. It made my image of Tasuke even worse. I live in Fukuoka at the moment (which is home to probably the best ramen in Japan) and I eat it at least once a week! So good! I’m not looking forward to coming back to CBR..

That being said, both times I’ve been to Iori, the food took 1hr+ to come out and it was wrong anyway. They’d forgotten drink orders, brought out the wrong dishes (or forgotten basic things like the rice that goes with it!!!), and even forgotten dishes entirely. Which is made even more hilarious by the fact that we had to give them our orders several days in advance, and we even double-checked beforehand to make sure they had the right order (they didn’t!). Absolutely awful experience, never again.

I meant to say Coo, which is Iori’s sister restaurant. Coo does take away lunches such as sushi, tempura etc. I’ve been to both for dinner and they’ve been great. You must have just been unlucky. I usually get good service.

To be honest, Tasuke isn’t a very good restaurant. It sucks actually. I much prefer Iori’s 2Go4U lunches!!

has the riot done the lunch from burma just a few doors up yet? astress swears by these curries but has yet to have me try them; i think they re-open after the festivities this next week…

+1 agreed. It is an awesome idea to review all the $10 or less lunch places.. I love eating out for lunch, but hate paying stupid civic prices.

Daawwm those bento lunches are good. At one stage I was going there every day, I tried to order the bento special on Saturday once and the chef came out and told me off!! Ah well there is also Coo round the corner which is TOPS.
