The Glenloch Interchange is blocked southbound until further notice after a tip truck rolled over about 2 pm.
ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service responded to the accident, with a pumper and commander on scene to contain the truck’s spill area.
Paramedics took the truck’s male driver to Canberra Hospital.
Police are saying that traffic from William Hovell Drive cannot travel to the City and Tuggeranong, and significant diversions are in place.
The Transport Canberra and City Services live traffic site says Parkes Way eastbound is closed until further notice.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
