Territory and Municipal Services are letting people know they’re running a guided tour of the Orroral Valley:
“On Saturday 10 November 2012, get your walking shoes on and join fellow nature enthusiasts on a journey from the Orroral Tracking Station to the Orroral Homestead,” said Brett McNamara, Manager of Operations, National Parks and Catchments.
“Not only will you get to take in the lovely scenery, but you will also get to hear some fascinating facts about the area’s history.
“Listen to stories detailing the timeline of the Orroral Valley, from the 1860s to the present, and learn about how the land was used by its first European inhabitants.
“The Orroral Valley walk, from 10 am to 11.30 am, is short and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. With the weather warming up, it is essential that everyone remembers to bring a hat and water.
“The activity is free but bookings are essential, so make sure you don’t miss out by calling 6207 2900 to secure a spot.”
