The Canberra Times has coverage of the rather strange plans by the Minister for Workplace Relations, Kevin Andrews, to cut down the ComCare bills by stripping Commonwealth Employees of OH&S coverage.
By that reasoning why have any coverage? That’d cost nothing at all.
Of course if the Government got on top of soaring health costs by kicking the arses of the healthcare providers they wouldn’t face exploding OH&S bills while at the same time making the rest of the health system function much better.
Sadly healthcare providers are a natural Liberal constituency while the the Public Service is not.
