Here in the RiotACT bunker we’ve noticed that, despite the readership talking a big game about their party-hard ways, you’ve always been a bit shy when it comes to actually turning up for the RA social functions.
So here are some pictures of our bicycle bar crawl of 14-OCT-05 in the hope it might inspire some of you to join in the fun.
It started innocently enough with the brave and the few taking in a beer on a park bench waiting for O’Neils to open in Dickson.
But in due course O’Neils was open and a heartstarting tequila with beer chaser was procured.
By the time we got to Tilley’s in Lyneham we had been reinforced.
At All Bar Nun in O’Connor the Rebels kindly agreed to act as photographers and props.
Being in the area with a camera a commando raid to document the Croatian Club’s portrait of Ante Pavelic was called for.
But from there we scrurried to West’s Bowling Club in Turner.
And from there we were in striking distance of the Wig And Pen in Civic.
The Phoenix was next, are there rules about talking on a mobile while cycling?
Oh the sweet, sweet, taste of Erdinger at Debacle on a sunny day.
You do meet some odd people on these things…
The team was feeling pretty good by the time we got to Olims.
And we’re always glad to see Edgars.
Yes, that’s right, here is the RiotACT crew at Cleo’s “best places to meet hot single men in Australia” nominated bar, El Dorado in Dickson. Oh yes, that’s us behind the bar.
And from there we didn’t even unchain the bikes to finish up with laksa’s at the Tradies Noodle House. Mmmmm Tradies…
