No More UnderGrad ANUS?

By che - 19 April 2005 8

ABC Online have this story on Education Minister Brendan Nelson’s proposal to merge the CSIRO and ANU to form one research university leaving no room for undergraduate students.

I guess this is one way to justify cut backs to university funding, streamline the university so they have fewer students and fewer courses.

The students have said “NAY” but no one listens to those long haired louts anyways.

What’s Your opinion?

The CSIRO has annoyed the big end of town for a very long time.

Fancy using science in the public interest when it can be crippled and shackled for the profit of a few!

I’d see this as a step towards its obliteration.

getting under-grads out of ANU would reduce enable the purging of lefties on the faculty too i imagine.

Shit, I have to go work there next month.

It’s all that research into wheat that can grow in ever more ardous conditions so that poor desert living people can feed themselves that annoys capital hill. Why could that be?
