EquineX national horse expo is back for the 2nd year at Exhibition Park, featuring a weekend packed with arena and classroom sessions and over 40 commercial exhibitors. Olympians Heath and Rozzie Ryan are on hand, a stallion masterclass Saturday night raises money for Pegasus riding for disabled, and the spectacular Auction of the Stars culminates the weekend. A day late for the first day, but the next Lifeline Bookfair will be held at EPIC on 16-18 April 2010 at the following times:

Friday 10am-6pm
Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 10am-4pm

Canberra’s original fire station to open for the weekend As part of the ACT Heritage Festival, the ACT Fire Brigade Historical Society is opening up the old Forrest Fire Station to the public this weekend.

Canberra’s original fire station in Empire Circuit will be open from 1Oam to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday.

Visitors can inspect some of the old equipment used by our firefighters many years ago, climb aboard a vintage fire engine and talk with former and current firefighters.

A free sausage sizzle will also be provided. Everyone is welcome.

Excellent, must remember to get along. Thanks for the heads up. It used to be the last Sunday in March IIRC, so I thought I had missed it. Again!

hark40 our Maserati will be there, if it starts and then if it runs and then if it doesn’t overheat and breakdown.

Come out to Bonner (Gungahlin) for an open day at the heritage-listed Elmgrove homestead – property of Paul Carmody (brother of Mark), as part of the ACT Heritage Festival.

Saturday 10.30 – 3.00, Mulligan’s Flat Road, look for signs.
