Restaurant owner allegedly assaulted by robbers armed with a knife and a crowbar

Police are investigating an incident in which a restaurant owner was allegedly assaulted and robbed by two men armed with a knife and a crowbar.

The two men allegedly entered a Hibberson Street Asian restaurant in Gungahlin when they were disturbed by the owner at about 2 am on Tuesday (7 May).

It’s believed they assaulted the owner before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two men were described as Caucasian, about 180 cm (6′) tall, and were wearing black jackets and black tracksuit pants at the time.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the incident, including anyone who saw people or vehicles in the Hibberson St area at about 2 am on Tuesday.
