The 2nd annual Yass Spring Ball is being held on Saturday August 20th 2011 at the Yass Soldiers Club. Thanks to the support of the Lions Club of Bowning and District the event expects to attract over 140 people.
In 2010 the Yass Spring Ball was masquerade themed and guests were adorned from head to toe in array of formal wear. This year the theme is “Black & White” formal wear, inviting the men and woman of Yass to dress up and support their local rescue helicopter.
Tickets are $65 each which includes a three course meal, drink on arrival and entertainment. The Chalkie White Band will be the entertainment again this year, so bring your dancing shoes for what promises to be an enjoyable evening.
Last year’s event raised $8000 for Snowy Hydro SouthCare, with each dollar going towards keeping the local rescue helicopter in the air saving lives.
This year there will be an auction on the night, the items up for auction include a framed St George Dragons Rugby Jersey (signed by the 2010 premiership winning team) and a framed Mini Cricket Bat (signed by Glenn McGrath when he visited Yass with Elders last year).
Tickets to the Yass Spring Ball are available from Narelle’s Hair Doo Duck Inn in Meehan St, Yass, contact Jenny & Narelle on (02) 62265022 or Kim on 0429234378. Tickets are available in tables of 10 ($650 each), or individually ($65).
