Vanuatu’s Acappella Union will be performing their gospel a cappella music in Canberra this weekend.

The group, made up of some of the best young singers from their hometown of Port Vila, has been performing around Vanuatu and other Pacific nations for the past few years.

The Vanuatu Acappella Union have strong ties with the Canberra area, with the group’s manager Robin Tom having lived in Canberra during 2008 while he completed his studies in Law at ANU. The group’s debut album which is due for release in the coming months, was also mixed at Infidel Studios in Queanbeyan and mastered in Braddon by Kimmo Vernonen at KV Productions.

Tom says, “We are looking forward to getting to Canberra. The (Acappella Union) boys never fail to impress with their vocal talent and bring a good message to the people.”

Vanuatu Acappella Union will be performing at Parkway in Kambah this Sunday March 22 at 3pm, supported by their countrymen The Seals. Tickets are $20 Adult or $15 Concession and are available from the group’s website or at the door. Samples of the group’s music can be listened to on their website, www.acappellaunion.com
