A search warrant executed on a Florey home on Thursday by members of ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations team has resulted in another firearm and ammunition being removed from the community.
Acting on information received, detectives searched the premises and seized a .22 calibre rifle, ammunition, two replica handguns, a conducted energy weapon, cash and a small quantity of drugs.
A 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were present during the warrant.
The man was taken into custody and charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition. He will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday, April 26).

This result comes as the Illicit Firearms campaign enters its final week, finishing on 30 April 2014.
Under the campaign, rewards of up to $5000 are available for information that leads to the recovery of a firearm, or identity of anyone who may be using, keeping or making illicit firearms.
