Alleged drugs, car and cash seized and woman arrested after raid of Gungahlin property

Items believed to be drugs, more than $31,000 in cash, steroids and fireworks are among items seized from a Gunghalin residence in a police raid.

ACT Policing officers carried out a search warrant on Monday (10 June), where they located areas in the residence that had allegedly been enlarged to hide evidence, including a space between walls that had been expanded to approximately 30 cm in width.

During the search, officers also allegedly located approximately 105 grams of a white crystalline substance they allege to be methylamphetamine. They estimate it would have a street value of around $95,400.

Other items were also found, including alleged steroids and numerous prescription drugs, white powder suspected to be cocaine, materials suspected to be cannabis, fireworks and electronic items.

Police also seized more than $31,000 in cash and a white Mercedes Benz A45, which they suspect to be the proceeds of crime.

A 21-year-old woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday (17 June) after being arrested at her residence on Saturday (15 June).

She has been charged with trafficking in a controlled drug, possessing anabolic steroids, damaging property, driving while disqualified, and possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime.
