As with this case it appears from the committal hearing the evidence put before the Magistrate was mostly forensic evidence. For the Magistrate to commit the accused to stand trial she had to have been convinced without reasonable doubt that there was enough evidence for him to be convicted in the Supreme court for the murder of both of these victims & for trying to burn down the home.
As for the media yes they have access to all evidence submitted to the courts, however they will intrepret their own version of events to the public and pull out parts that will sell a story, its not the version that has been told to them by the professionals who have investigated the murders or from famiily or friends of victims. Simply the media trying to piece their own version of events.
In this particular case there appeared to be enough forensic evidence given at the committal hearing to give the public a good insight that what happened that night was horific to say the least. No words can explain what was released so far.
As for ‘COG ‘, I dont believe anyone exists it is simply a person who has made a post looking for a bite from the public.

It’s frustrating and funny at the same time to see that so many people still make assumptions and judgements based on what they have read or heard via the media. Based on unpleasant experiences in the ACT I learned that nothing printed in the media is reliable . The information has gone through so many sets of hands before it gets to court. If you want to make a judgement about a crime committed or about the accused in question, you pretty much have to have witnessed it happen. Otherwise you are ready to accept the following:
Police always tell the truth.
Defence Lawyers and prosecutors do not call each other and trade of facts made in statements , sometimes termed “agreed facts”.
Court reporters always have access to all evidence and statements and are always allowed to publish everything about everyone.
News forums are choked with comments from morons and you can almost hear their misguided and mistaken moaning as you read. “The injustices of everything, this government is a joke, judges leniency, throw away the key”… bla bla bla. It’s amusing for the most part, but still frustrating that people still consider the news to be any kind of reliable source in Australia. But no matter how you come to view crimes committed, justice or injustices as the case maybe, consider those affected by crimes that are remain unsolved. Who never got any answers, albeit from a newspaper. Its demeaning to them when the self-righteous blast the legal system or apparent leniency in sentence. Give thanks for cases that even get to court.
