Simon Corbell has proudly announced that his reverse Robin Hood Feed-In Tariff scheme (whereby those who can afford to generate their own electricity get paid for generating some of the most expensive juice in the world) has had a very happy launch.
- The ACT’s nation leading Feed-In Tariff Scheme has had a strong start and has saved 238 tonnes of greenhouse gases since it started in March this year, Minister for Energy, Simon Corbell, said today.
“Quarterly figures as at June 30, 2009 show since March this year, we have seen a very encouraging level of take-up in the community, with 163 new installations, an increase of 28.7%, and a total of 731 installations are currently feeding back into the grid,” Mr Corbell said.
Simon reckons that by next March 90% of something will be taking advantage.
Kambah is also leading the way, as usual thanks to having four times the population of most suburbs, followed by the deep green of O’Connor.
