Daylight savings one week extension for Games.

Katy Gallagher announced today that the 2005-2006 daylight savings would be extended one week due to the Commonwealth Games.

“The one-off extension, which is in response to a request from the Victorian Government, will ensure that our times are consistent with Victoria over the games period,” she said.

In case you’re worried about the legalities of it all, we’re informed “The extension has been formally declared in accordance with the Standard Time and Summer Time Act 1972.”

And for those, like me, who are sick of waking up at 5am, we wind forward our clocks this Saturday.

Yeah sometimes, when I don’t sleep so well.
I usually get back to sleep but it’s still annoying.

Huh??? Are you one of those people who gets woken up by sunlight? I’m one of those people who needs a bunch of alarms and loud noisea to wake me up…then more to keep me awake.
