Born in Canberra but toured internationally, Owen Campbell returns with a diverse range of artists to give shelter to orphans in Indonesia.
Art for Charity is an arts and music event hosted at Canberra’s Polish Club this weekend. It covers a broad spectrum of art ranging from poetry to blues, and techno to short documentary films, and aims to raise money for a refugee school in Indonesia.
The Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre is a school for refugee children, run by refugees. Indonesia is place where many refugees come to get processed by the United Nations and in order to get placed in countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada.
This process can take up to 5 years, during which time these refugees are unable to work or send their children to Indonesian schools. The Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre was therefore established to give these children an education and it is run solely on donations.

- Poetry from Andrew Galan, Aaron Kirby, and Zoe Anderson
- Acoustic artist Laura Ingram,
- Short documentaries from filmmaker Jolyon Hoff
- Installations/sculptures from Josh Darcy and Caitlin Welch
- Video jockeying from Caitlin Welch.
