Superheroes will be driving their cars and motorbikes through the capital this week (and everyone’s invited to join in the fun) to raise funds for a children’s cancer charity.
Pop culture fans will also enjoy the GAMMA Expo and the Old Bus Depot Market’s special pop culture-themed Makers-Con market.

Pilot Paragraphs: Slam Poetry and Armchair Readings

Artists are invited to connect with the local literary scene and receive feedback on their work. On 8 September, a slam poetry night will offer the opportunity for artists to perform in front of a live audience and get feedback, alongside cameo performances. In October, a live armchair reading will allow writers to share an excerpt of their work and receive feedback on their characters.

On Saturday night, celebrate the 30th anniversary of the X-Files phenomenon with a screening of Fight the Future, the franchise’s first film starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Both films are screened on 35 mm film prints from the national audiovisual collection.
