19 teams butted heads at Paintball Sports ACT in Fairbairn pines on the 3rd of July. Congratulations to Apocalypse who blitzed the field all day winning every single prelim match and rolling through the finals in two straight games. This was no mean feat either – Uprising A won every game except for their games against Apocalypse!
It was fantastic watching the novice players test themselves on the tournament field for the first time. Novices only played amongst themselves but it was exciting to see them evolve and pick up new skills from the open teams as the day went by. Timid game plans quickly became more complex as players began to communicate and scout the opposition before playing them.
The catering by Top Gun Catering, a start up based in the city, was spot on. There was an impressive variety of tasty foods and energy drinks keeping everyone fueled for battle.
All in all, an amazing event!
