Alistair Coe put an intriguing media release up last night.
Not the “Blah Blah, Labor Bad, Blah Blah, Greens Bad, Blah Blah, Buses”. That’s pretty much par for the course.
Much more intriguing is the way young Alistair is aping Liberal HQ’s use of language.
It was only yesterday at midday that Tony Abbott started describing the Labor-Green pact as a “coalition” and yet Alistair’s picked up the phrase for use in the ACT right away.
Better than that, Alistair is now keen on “Real Action”. (C’mon, sing along at home, link your arms and wave your illuminated mobile phone screen in the air “Stand up Australia, Stand Up for Real Action“).
No less than four times in the release do we get “real action”. Three up the top and then one further down to get the message through:

For all the talk, the Greens have achieved very little real action on buses, even with a signed agreement with their coalition partners, Shadow Minister for Transport, Alistair Coe said today.
“I find it remarkable Ms Bresnan has come up with such a shallow and glib line about all three parties working together, when as a coalition partner with the government, her party has achieved very little in real action and reform,” Mr Coe said.
It’s particularly twee with the bus network being called “ACTION” and all innit?
So are all Liberals being programmed by transmissions from the mast of Parliament House? Or is Alistair just particularly keen?
