While my podcasting comrade is a little conflicted (being an unsuccessful candidate) I would like to say that, while being very glad for the winners who’ll be getting some easy money, I think we’d get a better process by picking random people off the street and letting them select items for funding out of the applicant pool.
At least then we’d know it’s a total crap shoot.
