Today Unearthed Review rocks out with Troy Casha.
There are over 700 Canberra bands with tracks on the TripleJUnearthed website. In 2011 we’re going to explore them. (Previous reviews are available)
Today’s random selection is Troy Casha who modestly describes himself thusly:
Troy Casha is a somewhat quiet and gentle man who enjoys the simple blessings of life and family around him. Canberra born and bred he is the youngest of 4 boys who all like to make music. Troy was the singer/songwriter for a band who jammed for a few years and he has continued to write songs regularly with his guitar and mixer at home. His love for making music was his single motivation and he has no impressive resume of musical recognition.
At first glance one may find Troy Casha quite unremarkable. But, if you take a moment to look again, to chase the lure of those dark magnetic eyes you will see a certain depth and wisdom that seems well beyond someone of 28years. There is a passion there too- deep below, and that passion, depth and special wisdom can only be fully realised when listening to the magic of his music.
Then, it becomes very clear that Troy Casha is nothing but remarkable!
It’s a little hard to get a handle on a performer with only one track available.
And that track sounds a bit like Creed.
I’m also moderately certain that a vocoder’s been passed over the vocal tracks. Which is common these days, but I’m not an enourmous fan of it.
Having said that it’s a pretty good song in the modern rock genre.
Three stars.
