Gang Gang Cafe in Downer is gearing up to host two dreamy shows this weekend. On Saturday, Homegrown Sounds is hosting another Sounds From The Suburbs event, this time with velvet-folk pioneers Lady Denman, experimental rock band Paint Store, and singer-songwriter Sal Viejo. On Sunday, expect an evening of powerful storytelling and songcraft with Kim Yang, Sophie Edwards, and B. Cumming.
Local rock three-piece Flash Anthem is set to play their last show ever this Friday at UC Hub. They’ll be joined by Enfants, The Narcissists and Sunday Sojourn. Across town, catch psych-rockers Flowermarket playing to a very likely sold out Polo alongside Thyme and NORA.
X-Factor winner and all-around Australian icon Dami Im is also scheduled to perform this week. She’ll be playing songs from across her career in an intimate, stripped-back solo piano setting at The Playhouse on Friday night. Make sure you check with venues before heading out to avoid disappointment.
