UPDATE (Sunday 10 March, 1:02 am) – The four children have been located safe and well. ACT Policing would like to thank everybody who provided assistance. A man is assisting police with their enquiries.

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance in locating four missing children, three girls aged six, four and one and a three year old boy.

They were last seen in Casey being driven in a 1997 model Silver Mitsubishi Mirage (ACT registration YHS93Q) by a male known to them, 27-year-old Takosi (Matthew) Funaki.

This followed an incident in Moncreiff at about 6:55 pm this evening (9 March, 2019).

Takosi (Matthew) is described as Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, 175cm (5’9”) tall, thin build with black short hair and brown eyes.

Police are seeking to locate Matthew and the children as there are serious concerns for their wellbeing.

Anyone who sees the vehicle, or has any information about his whereabouts is urged to contact ACT Policing on 131 444. Please do not approach them.

The names of the children have been withheld at this time.
