ACT records 252 new COVID-19 infections as Territory surpasses 200,000 total cases

The ACT has recorded 252 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 125 identified by PCR and 127 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 121 people in hospital, including four in intensive care and one receiving ventilation. Currently, there are 1,967 active COVID-19 cases in the ACT.

Since the pandemic began, 200,159 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT.

Of the Territory’s five to 15 population, 77.9 per cent have received two doses of vaccine; 77.9 per cent of those aged 16 and over have received three doses; 55.2 per cent of those aged 50 and over have received four doses.

Interstate, NSW has reported 34 deaths overnight and 6,1167 new cases of COVID-19.

Victoria has reported 30 deaths overnight and 9,454 new cases of COVID-19.
