And the Inaugural Mully Cup goes to… Mark Parton

By johnboy - 1 July 2010 13

Back in May we floated the concept of the Mully Cup a trophy named after the most comment causing individual in the decade long history of The RiotACT.

In June we had a tremendous amount of debate surrounding breakfast radio host, erstwhile politician, and fellow reptoid Mark Parton who had aired his difficulty understanding why people like taking drugs.

Congratulations Mark, you’re the winner of the first Mully Cup!

(No actual trophy yet exists, but we’re working on it)

What’s Your opinion?

Oh have a joint and a beer, get over it, if it makes you lot feel any better.

Is this the same Mark Parton who bragged about winning $110 on the poker machines the other day? And then invited other people to call in with their gambling stories?

If I had to choose who I’d rather spend time with, it’d be the druggy over the gambler any day.

Parton can be one irresponsible and ill-informed fellow at times.

He also had Jim Wallace from the Australian Neo-Nazi Party, eh sorry Australian Christian Lobby on this morning. Looks like I’ll be going back to listening to 2UE or 2GB over the Net.

Yawn. Will he get his name spray painted on a Woden Interchange toilet? No.

I’d do so just to prove you wrong, but I am afraid to go in there.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Hope he mentioned how much he spent first to win that money.

Thanks for those links skid. Goodness knows why Parton thinks he’s located in New Orleans on his (yaaaawn) … blog. Honestly, the pre-9:00am sounds of Solly have become more attractive in recent times.

Reading his Blog and seeing that some low life Druggie has broken into his place while his wife and kids were around just so they could fund a habit I can probably sympathise with his views. The entire thread consisted of a bunch of self righteous wankers who basically feel free to break the law because the law bans something they enjoy. The Tuggeranong “Thuggies” enjoy bashing people up so perhaps we should allow them to also do as they like .

What a responsible use of airtime.

PS: Here are his further insightful comments on the Canberra pokies.

Well that was a shock. My surname is one letter different to Parton. For a second there I thought I was infamous.

As for him, he’s very good at provoking reaction, dredging through ridiculous and banal issues. A well earned trophy I think.

With those qualifications, it’s a wonder that he didn’t make it in politics.
