Hello.

I have a 4 year old ducted gas heater system and an evaporative cooler that I need installing in the floor / roof.
The units were removed from the other house due to an addition on the second floor.

Has anyone ever had a second hand unit installed in their house?

I am happy to do the ducting in the roof and under the floor and install the ducts/ vents. I just need someone to install in roof and do the electrical/ gas and water.

I have called a few of the major aircon installers and they don’t install anything other then there own products.

Models are
Bonaire Navigator 2012 system which includes Bonaire VSS55 ducted evaporative cooler and Bonaire MB420e ducted gas heating system.

Thanks in advance.

Are the old house and the one being retrofitted similar? The reason I ask is that the systems may not be designed for the new installation in terms of airflow, capacity and such. This could mean redoing the duct lengths and sizes. Also, you need to have an electrician put in supply for each service and if the house has old fuse style distribution board, it will have to be upgraded to circuit breakers. This will add cost to the install, most likely in the order of hundreds of dollars.
I hope this illuminates you to the reasons why trades may be hesitant to touch the job.
I wish you luck though, hope it goes smoothly.
