Thought I might mention Everytrail to those Canberra iphone/GPS users who weren’t aware of it. Bikers wanting to explore new single track/trails but lacking someone to guide them should get a decent iphone bike mount like the ibikeconsole and discover the GPS community greatness of Everytrail. Hikers and horse riders will also benefit from this app.
For those unfamiliar with Everytrail, outdoorsy people around the world, such as riders, hikers, even kayakers, record their paths on GPS and submit the route to Everytrail, where users can download and load it onto their own GPS. Many of Canberra single tracks and trails and surrounds are found on Everytrail thanks to local contributors.
