The Canberra Community Bank® Group, which operates four Bendigo Bank branches around Canberra (Calwell, Curtin, Jerrabomberra and Wanniassa) is celebrating after the announcement that Bendigo Bank has been declared a major winner in the 2017 Mozo People’s Choice Awards.
The awards, which are based on real customer reviews, rated banking providers across eight sub-categories, including:
- Outstanding customer satisfaction
- Excellent customer service
- Highly trusted
- Staff friendliness
- Most recommended
- Excellent banking app
- Customer satisfaction – everyday banking
- Customer satisfaction – credit cards
Bendigo Bank was the only bank that won in all eight sub-categories.
Mozo’s Data Manager Peter Marshall stated that the results show Australian customers are generally happiest with smaller banks.
This is not the first win of its kind for Bendigo Bank, who frequently comes out on top when rated against other providers for customer satisfaction and credit card, insurance, and superannuation products.
Bendigo Bank’s Chief Customer Officer, Marnie Baker said, “We’re thrilled to receive these awards, which are recognition from our customers that we’re living up to our vision of being Australia’s most customer connected bank.”
Neale Guthrie, from Molonglo Financial Services which manages the four Community Bank® branches in Canberra, says “It’s a testament to the hard work of the staff, and the socially responsible nature of the product range from Bendigo Bank.
“Our customers love banking with us because they know that when they do, they are essentially giving back to their community. 80% of the profits from our four local branches go directly towards helping to build local facilities, support local not-for-profits, and make a difference in the Canberra community.”
This was demonstrated recently when the Curtin branch celebrated their 5th birthday, giving out 5x$500 grants to local not-for profits, including: Integra Service Dogs Australia, Australian Dance Party, Mystery Bells team for Mystery Box Rally, Canberra District Historical Society and Lake Burley Griffin Sea Scouts.
Shareholders of the branches are all Canberra families and organsations who invested their own money to help the branch open when major banks closed, and left many of the suburbs with no banking facilities.
