Carols at the crem

By kimba - 7 November 2005 20

A little birdie has told me that there will be Christmas Carols at Norwood Park this December. It’s an interesting concept I must admit and I guess the people ‘living’ there will not mind too much.

Apparently lots of local and interstate stars are on board or should I say are dying to perform on the night.

I was thinking about some songs that could be performed on the night, like David Bowie’s ‘Ashes to Ashes’. Not very Christmassy though.

Any other thoughts?

What’s Your opinion?

Well, it’s nice to know that you are looking for a positive outcome.
You sound like a really happy, friendly person.
Maybe we could be friends one day.

Your comment came up on top of the recent comments list. Everyone would have seen it. As such I actually didn’t have to find it, it was simply there.

Anyway, I’m happy to agree to disagree. Doesn’t worry me the slightest.

If you really didn’t give a fuck you wouldn’t be wasting your time on this post getting upset about someone you don’t even know, disliking the man.
You found my comment pretty quickly though….considering that the last comment on this was back in January…
If i didn’t know better one might think that Thumper is infact Mick Rice trying to make himself feel better…….

There is no problem……you told me to get my facts rights so i said that i was entitled to my own opinion….
Who are you to tell me that my perceptions of the man are wrong?
So Army man……what else did Mick do for you while you were serving with him that has got you running to his defence?

Thumper 1:58 pm 22 May 06

“Your entitled to your opinion which you have openly put out there”

Yes, I am…. And the problem is?

And if you want to make your own web site, then go ahead. I really don’t give a fuck.

BTW, learn to spell.

Sorry Thumper, i’ll make this one easier for you to read…..
I never said that you bagged him….. in fact your constant sucking up his ass makes me sick!
Your entitled to your opinion which you have openly put out there, and now i am putting mine out there too!
So thanks for the polite input….SUNSHINE
But my facts are correct! As a matter of fact i know so many people that dislike the man, i could start my own fucking website.

Thumper 1:09 pm 22 May 06

Hey Pal, (in case you missed my other post, and learn what a joke is FFS…)

Get your fucking facts right! I have never bagged Mick out. In fact if I met him in a pub I’d immediately buy him a beer.

I know Mick Rice as well. He’s a top bloke. He was my fucking CSM for Christ’s sake! I used to do bayonet drills with him screaming in my ear. I loved it.

I’ve seen him stand up for his Diggers in a club when we were under the weather so to speak. He used to let us get out on the piss now and then as long as we didn’t act like pork chops.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.

Get your fucking facts right sunshine….

It has disgusted me to find all these wonderful things posted about Mick Rice. Having dealt with him myself, i know Mick to be a very different person. Kimba, Thumper and Busybee, it’s sad that you feel the need to jump on a website and try and pick up the tatters of this man’s respect, dignity and career by feeding the public with your one eyed views of him. Perhaps you should spare a thought for those who were unlucky enough to see the arrogant, verbally abusive, and adulterous side to Mick Rice who now have to deal with your ridiculous crusade to put his name up in lights.
Served in Timor, Rwanda……what a hero! You would think that a person with this sort of resume would be a decent bloke, but spend 5 minutes with him and you will be sadly mistaken. Unfortuantly it seems Mick forgot that he doesn’t have control over people anymore! Good luck to you, i am glad that you can peel back the layers of a man like him and still have a grain of respect for him, but if you come out into the real world and ask people what they think of Mick Rice, you couldn’t pay people to have the same view as you!
P.S I have a printer you can borrow if the next step in your campaign is brochures or flyers!
MICK RICE FOR PRIME MINISTER!
What a JOKE……..

Having just found this message from Kimba I have to advise that YES there will be Xmas Carols at Norwood Park..on SATURDAY 17th DECEMBER 2005 from 6.30pm starring SIMON GALLAHER, MARINA PRIOR,LONNIE LEE and hosted by BOB DOWNE.
CEO Mick Rice from Norwood Park has a wonderful lineup of local entertainment as well, BRONWYN SULLIVAN, JULIE JENKINS, 104 piece children’s choir from ST GREGORY’S QUEANBEYAN and IAN McLEAN
and his Xmas Orchestra SARA CARVELLO and KAVINTHA PURCELL. Of course Santa will be there, and it is being televised by Foxtel and Channel 10 to play on Xmas eve, with 2CC/2CA broadcasting direct.
It is a wonderful concept and it is FREE (you purchase your showbag with candle and programme and the proceeds go to Eden MJonaro Cancer Society)

So don’t knock it..go and have a wonderful evening .the gardens are beautiful and so is the site where you will be sitting. Congratulations to MICK RICE for having such a grand idea and putting it into place. He should be congratulated..this will be the first of many events and many Xmas Carols at Norwood Park
