Canberra electronics outfit CEA Technologies has just been awarded a contract worth around $200 million to supply their advanced radar systems to the Australian Navy.

That’s $200 million that will be injected into the ACT economy over the next few years. It doesn’t get much better.

It would probably not be correct to say that the entire 200M would benefit the ACT economy, not to be picky but they do have other sites to maintain and suppliers to pay. More likely it would benefit the Australian Economy via the 4 sites and a little towards San Diego in the way of extra staff, more research and new projects.

Besides if they get too noticeable I’m sure they will end up being sold to a much larger American defence contractor that would keep the good stuff and sell us the outdated stuff. That’s the Australian way isn’t it?

Too late.
Their largest shareholder is already one of these large U.S companies
