It was quite a sight on Sunday when the second Classic Car Cruise for Camp Quality made its way from the Mawson Playing Fields to the Treasury carpark in Parkes.

A field of 104 registered entries – including car clubs, corporate vehicles, Harley Davidson motorcycles and even an old bus from Newcastle – rolled through Canberra streets in aid of the charity that supports children and families impacted by cancer.

Car lovers and supporters greeted them as they pulled into the Treasury carpark where about 500 people enjoyed the festivities and inspected their favourite classic cars.

The event raised about $30,000 and planning is already under way for next year’s event on the second Sunday in September and organisers are urging more businesses to get on board and enter their corporate cars.

Local photographer Jack Mohr was on site to capture all the action.
