I’d curse the drummer who woke me this morning, except I had to drag my sorry hungover arse up and out anyway to report to you on the mirth and merriment that is Corinbank 09. So really we should all thank those delightful early morning drummers… Maybe.
It’s a hard thing to describe this place.
An alpine valley transformed into a huge party. Only it’s a party where there are no neighbours to complain about the noise and no one has to drive home.
Consequently it went late, and loud, and everyone shows every sign of having a good time.
The Crooked Fiddle Band were probably the highlight of the night, closely followed by the O’Hooligans final performance.
The magical string of lanterns wending its way through the valley along the path connecting the the stages kept threatening to steal the show for all that the hike is going to get really old before the weekend is done. But the constantly evolving creative campsites along the way at least provide intrigue.
Anyway there’s still a huge program to go, so if you’re still in Canberra ask yourself if you want to get a piece of the fun up here?
