As the weather cools down, Libraries ACT is offering events, classes and activities to keep locals entertained this winter.

From the media release:

“Our winter program has begun and offers a range of free activities that are not only entertaining but educational too,” said Vanessa Little, Director, Libraries ACT.

“There are special events to keep kids busy and help them continue learning during the winter school holidays. Activities include word play, making stop-motion animation movies, making 3D books and glasses plus story time.

“In August, for National Science Week, children will be amazed by demonstrations of scientific phenomena – liquid nitrogen, rockets and even explosions at the Dr Graham’s Funomena ‘Greatest Hits’ interactive show. Kids can explore the world of science with the Little Scientists Puppet Show.

This winter there’s also an abundance of events and classes for adults with author talks, how-to courses on social media and technology, scrabble competitions and posture and flexibility classes to name a few.
