2023 Gungahlin Moon Festival Celebration

Canberra Chinese Community is to organise an upcoming Moon Festival event in Gungahlin. Moon Festival is a traditional event in Chinese culture where people celebrate the harvest, taste moon cake, and enjoy the bright full moon. Families and friends stay together in this important cultural festival for prosperity and wellbeing.

Hosted by the Federation of Chinese Community of Canberra Inc (FCCCI), the Moon Festival celebration is scheduled for September 16, 2023. The event will include an array of captivating performances, including singing, dance, music, martial arts, and the mesmerizing waist drum dance, along with engaging recitations.

The celebration will also feature a diverse range of stalls offering cultural showcases, traditional culinary delights, and fun activities such as calligraphy, paper cutting, and painting.

Moreover, attendees can look forward to thrilling lucky prize draws with tempting rewards like mooncakes, fresh mushrooms, and top-notch wines.
