Get ready for a spectacular cultural experience at the Canberra Moon Festival 2024. This event, organised by Fun Canberra since 2016, celebrates the Moon Festival’s themes of harvest and reunion with a dazzling array of performances, cultural activities, and gourmet street food.
This year’s festival, following the success of the 2022 event, will take place at City Walk and Petrie Plaza from 6 September to 8 September.
The event is set to be a magical experience with highlights including a wishing tree, a giant LED moon, and a rabbit balloon this year. Attendees can explore over 20 diverse catering and product stalls, offering a range of options.
The festival promises vibrant entertainment with LED dragon and lion dances, sand art performances, Chinese Kungfu, traditional acts from various cultural backgrounds, and live bands. For those looking to get hands-on, there are engaging activities such as mooncake making, sugar candy drawing, lantern making, ring toss, arrow throwing, and fan painting.
A special highlight is the cooking show on Sunday, featuring a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest noodle in the world.
