Join Julie Armstrong for Tree Week, and immerse your senses in the beauty of the Ginninderry Conservation corridor through a slow, guided Forest Therapy walk meandering from Shepherds Lookout.
You’ll pass frogs singing the joys of warmer weather in the nearby dam, past ancient gnarled eucalypts knobby with many stories and along a track to the beautiful unusual Callitris Forest.
Enjoy the vast vista from the look out over the native grasslands to of the magnificent Murrumbidgee River.
Listen to the songs of rosellas, touch the highly textured of Callitris tree trunks decorated with soft lichens, breathe deeply the aroma of new Spring growth and flowers wafting through the air.
Forest Therapy will bring you into the present moment, with a variety of activities to awaken you senses, to experience the medicine of the forest and of nature.
Research has shown that Forest Therapy boosts our immune system, reduces our stress and helps us feel calm amidst the everyday stresses of modern life.
A guided forest Therapy walk also connects people more deeply with nature.
*Please note this program is for people aged 16 years and older.
