The Friends of the National Library of Australia are pleased to host an online discussion with critically acclaimed writer and multiple award winner, Dervla McTiernan.
Dervla is the author of the internationally bestselling Cormac Reilly series (The Ruin, The Scholar, The Good Turn) and the audio novellas The Sisters, The Roommate and The Wrong One. Dervla has won a Barry Award, a Davitt Award, a Ned Kelly Award and an International Thriller Writer Award. Her latest standalone novel The Murder Rule was a Number 1 bestseller for four weeks. In 2011 Dervla moved from Ireland to Australia, where she turned her hand to writing following her early career as a lawyer.
This discussion will be facilitated by Anna Steele, who, writing as Anna Creer, reviews crime fiction for the Canberra Times and the ACM Press. Anna was Head of English at Canberra Grammar School until she retired in 2005. Since then she has regularly reviewed for the Canberra Times, including crime fiction, historical fiction and literary criticism.
